My classroom is finished!

This kind of organization makes me giddy with excitement.

After working for a couple of hours, Meeker and I went to lunch at a favorite spot: Rolls ‘n Bowls. I was a starvin’ marvin, so we started with spring rolls.

and then we both got the “combination” noodle bowl.

I got full after about half. Here is what I have leftover for dinner (yay!).

and these gems…

With our hunger satiated (for the moment…) we went shopping for a couple of hours. I needed new “teacher clothes” and Meeker got some new pants and a cool “Jason-Mraz-like” hat. I like hats.

After shopping, Meeker convinced me suggested that we go get some frozen custard at CJ’s. I like custard infinitely better than ice cream (and I really like ice cream, so that is saying something). I got a small butterfinger twister that we ate while sitting in the car.

This was delicious. Custard is so creamy and satisfying. I think it is the texture that really gets me excited.

What is your preference as far as frozen treats? Ice cream? Soft serve? Custard? Froyo? There are so many good options…

My fav is homemade vanilla ice cream the way my mama made it in Texas. THE BEST.

Loved the picnic snaps…..so colorful! It was great fun. Good food, beautiful day and perfect place for a bday party….. but missed Meeker.
