My Type of Taco Night

Meeker’s parents had us over for dinner tonight and it was so tasty. I had this plate x2.

The taco salad was lettuce, cheese, ground beef, olives, avocado mashy goodness (guac), salsa and a dollop of sour cream. The chips were served with homemade pico de gallo, and the peaches were sweet and juicy.

Then, instead of dessert, I got presents!! Meeker’s grandma (Mimi) gave me some fall goodies:

An adorable fall scarecrow lady.

This guy makes me laugh.

And finally, yes, that my friends, is a bread maker (and a cat).

My first loaf will be honey whole wheat. Maybe I can squeeze in some baking next weekend. I am even more excited for fall than I was at the beginning of this day! Hooray for families and good food and fall gifts!

  1. Oh my gosh Katie. We are so much the same person, it’s scary. Haha. MIKE BUYS ME FALL PRESENTS TOO!!

I LOVE your plate. It’s awesome.

And I know what you mean about reading my blog when you’re hungry because I do the same thing and all I can think about is how I only want what I just read you had. Haha.

I’m so jealous of your bread maker!!

    • Haha! That is hilarious, yes and another funny thing…”Meeker’s” name is really “Mike” – I have just always called him Meeker. So weird!

  2. OH I love your fall decorations! My family gets really into autumn/halloween and I love having little trinkets to spruce up the place. This post reminded me to get some when I go home this weekend! Your taco salad looks divine by the way :)

    • I know, decorations are so festive and absolutely necessary for me to really get into the season. Take pictures of yours (when you get them, of course)!

    • I’m actually a little jealous – summer is my favorite and I love hot weather. Although I love fall, too – I have to push myself into fall with decorations.
