I’m tired of this no-grocery challenge week. I want fruit, in mass quantities. I also want yogurt. Unfortunately, the standard breakfast ingredients were eaten LAST week, and therefore are not options this week. I think I will appreciate the convenience of my favorite foods MORE after this challenge.
I was forced to get very innovative this morning. After a 20 minute bike ride with the puppy, and 20 minutes of some yogadownload (Morning Flow #1), I opened the freezer for and found this…

Let me just say that I really dislike bananas. Their texture is really what gets me. Too much mush. BUT…1 minute in the food processor created THIS…

That my friends, is banana bliss.
I swear to you – it is nothing but 1 banana in the food processor for 1 minute.

I can’t take complete credit for this recipe. I saw something like it (but with milk) on Rachael Ray. This is pure banana. I topped it with cinnamon puffins.

Dear Banana,
I am so sorry for all those times I said I hated you. I will try to never say that again. All you really need is just a good whipping, and you can stand in line with the rest of my favorite breakfast foods.
Sincerely,
Katie
The only time I can eat a banana is when it is “under ripe” as in still green. They aren’t mushy then! Weird I know but once they are all yellow…NEVERMIND with brown on them…not even one spot!…I can’t touch them. Well maybe if they are in banana bread. That’s the ONLY good use for brown bananas! ;D
Agreed- banana bread is the best. Raw bananas, no way.
haha…banana bliss = amazing! i love that you topped it with cinnamon puffins, cause that sounds sooo amazing!

It was, my friend…it was.
gotta love banana whip, banana soft serve or whatever you call it. thank the sweet heavens for that last frozen banana!
happy friday!
seriously – I would have been so grumpy without breakfast this morning!
Banana soft serve is the best! I mix in some Chocolate Almond Maranatha butter…mmm who needs ice cream!!?!
OOh nut butter addition – I didn’t think of that!
OMG whipped bananas & puffins. why does that sound like the most delicious combo ever? my bananas aren’t near ripe but i’m considering gently banging them against the wall until they brown up… too violent?
yes- beat them up -it will be worth it.
I’ve always said that I hate bananas too. I WANT to like them, but in the times I’ve just tried to peel one and bite in, I just can’t get through it. I think it’s the texture for me as well.
HOWEVER, I’ve discovered that baking bananas in things have made me more tolerable of their presence on this earth…so maybe you should tack my name on to the end of that note and we’ll all just call it a truce
HAPPY FRIDAY GIRLIE!!
I’m the same…I WANT to like them. They are so easy – but I just can’t do it! The frozen whip is good though. Except I was burping up banana flavor all morning and that was kind of disgusting. I agree with the banana bread…there is a food I can get behind.
Wow. Wait. So you just freeze it… and then…. whip it into shape? It looks like ICE CREAM!
Definitely need to try this.

Yes, that’s it! And it tastes JUST LIKE ICE CREAM!!

….maybe one tooo many donna joe bananas!!! haha we outta bring those back
your little frozen banana mush looks actually REALLY good!
Hahah D Jo bananas – I can’t believe you remember that. THe frozen banana must tastes just like ice cream!
It almost looks like banana pudding! Will definitely have to try this one.
Wow. I am impressed by your banana breakfast. I have two frozen bananas right now but I have no food processor! Maybe a blender would work just the same. Keep up the good work with the challenge, you can do it!
