When you wake up at 9am, there are not enough hours in the day.

I took the day off today for several reasons. I also decided to catch up on my sleep since I didn’t have to be at work, but I woke up at nine in a panic because I felt like the day was almost over and I had so much to squeeze in.

I started with a workout – Day 29 – of the 30 Day Shred. Then jumped into cleaning the house and tackling the laundry.

At noon, I still didn’t feel hungry, but decided to eat anyway.

It had been a while since I had sweet oats – so I went with that.

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 2/3 cups water
  • Brown sugar
  • Walnuts
  • 1 tbs. pumpkin butter
  • 1 cookie dough baby – crumbled

So tasty. I forgot how much I love sweet oats in the morning afternoon.

After folding a lot more laundry…

That’s alllll clean, folded and ready to be put away – the worst part, in my opinion.

I sat down to get crackin’ on the grading that was looming over my head.

I packed a snack and locked myself in our office.

A handful of TJ’s peanut butter filled pretzels and a gala apple.

After a substantial amount of paper-grading, and eating my way through the apple, Meeker asked me if I wanted to go running with him. Even though it was only 12 degrees outside, I said yes, because he NEVER wants to run, and I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

Punky, Meeker and I ran a quick 4×800 and came inside to thaw out. Meeker wore shorts…that was a bad decision. After the run, I busted out more grading, did more laundry and put up Christmas decorations!!
No tree yet – but it is certainly feeling like December in our casa.

Continuing with the Christmas theme, lunch was eaten out of this…

Tuna, spicy mustard and ½ avocado. I ate about ½ and then passed it off to Meeker to finish. I just wasn’t feeling it.

Even though I didn’t get as organized as I would have liked today, I did exercise twice, get my grading finished and put a dent in the laundry. So now it’s time to get ready for the exciting part of the day! I’ll be singing my country heart out in approximately 3 hours…I can’t even wait.

Adios and vaya con Dios…
