Happy Weekend! I’ve been out, enjoying mine to the fullest. The snow has stopped, the sun is shining, and I’m reveling in the fact that I have a whole week off in front of me. I started Saturday with a nice walk in the park – literally – with Meeker and Punky.

Then a green monster and coffee…

That crescent moon in my smoothie is foreshadowing of what I did for the rest of the afternoon. After lunch with the in-laws…

…my sister-in-law and I snuggled down and watched Twilight and New Moon! We both read the whole Twilight series, and loved it. Watching the movies was just a continuation of the fantastically fun story. Then, Meeker, his younger brother, and their guy friends took this cake loving girl out for a night on the town. I hadn’t been downtown in f-o-re-v-e-r, and I loved gallivanting around the city with four boys at my side. We were out late, so I slept in this morning and then awoke to something green.

If you guessed smoothie in a bowl, you’d be wrong. I blended oatmeal with spinach, and then drizzled with agave, cinnamon, chia seeds and a sunken spoonful of peanut butter. Blended oats are so fantastic – a nice gritty texture.

And now, I am off to Colorado Springs for coffee with an old friend, and a bridal shower. I hope you all are enjoying your weekends as much as I am mine!
