I just got back from New York City, and you’ll never believe it…I forgot my camera. I was so angry with myself, but the good news is that I have a camera-toting-dedicated-picture-taking best friend that documented the entire weekend – now I just have to beg her to share her pictures with me. Even though the trip was short (I was really only there on Saturday), we had an absolute blast. So much so, that it is hard to contemplate going back to work tomorrow morning. Food highlight of the weekend: Devil’s Food Cupcake from Magnolia Bakery, which was so delicious and hearty, it was eaten as a meal.
I’ve been awake for about 36 hours, so I’m about to fall into bed! I hope you all had a great weekend, happy Monday tomorrow!

Ah you are so lucky
My sis frequents Magnolia weekly and says those cupcakes rock… 36 HOURS? You Crazy. I hope you enjoy your week back, and if you are tired tomorrow morning, remember that summer is 2 months away!
Thats what i keep telling myself.
That stinks that you forgot your camera, but I’m sure you had a fabulous time!!
I don’t even need a picture to imagine how amazing that cupcake must have been….
Aw, man! Forgetting the camera is always such a bummer. Glad you had a great trip!
Man get some rest! I hope you post some of her pictures. I’m hoping to talk my husband into taking a trip to New York sometime soon. We just happen to live on the complete other side of the nation from it though
But hey that’s what planes are for.
aw, I’m sorry you forgot your camera. Hopefully your friend won’t mind sharing the photos with you. Magnolia Bakery has the BEST cupcakes that has ever passed these lips. I seriously brought back a box to take with me on the plane home. Yes, that good
I am glad that you had a great time on your trip! xoxo
Glad to hear your back and had a great time. That’s a bummer about your camera but at least someone was documenting! I am totally jealous of your cupcake experience, I have always wanted to try one but have yet to. Have a good Monday!
SO GLAD YOU TRIED MAGNOLIA CUPCAKES!!! The Bleecker street store is 2 blocks from my apartment, and it takes some serious self-control not to be in there every day. Bummer about the camera, but I’m glad you had fun!! Have a great Monday
No,no…tell me you did NOT forget your camera? I wanted to see some great food from NYC! I am glad you could get away….I think you and the kiddos will be tired today…so go easy on em
Easter is coming up anyway and then summer.
Oh don’t you hate that?? I feel lost when I don’t have mine. And I get even angrier when I remember to bring it, but the battery dies. I have no idea how I let that happen.
Good thing your friend is also a photog!
Glad you had a blast…can’t wait to see the pics!
So glad you had fun!
I thought you were going to say that you got a disposable camera! Oh, I remember those days…
Glad you had fun & can’t wait to hear about it!
Glad you had fun!
I hate when I forget my camera. I do it all the time because I just assume its in my purse.
Bummer!!! But we can just about imagine how much fun you had.
Rest up, lady!
Bummer. That totally sounds like something I’d do. Or I’d forget my shoes or something.
Ahhh so sad! I hate, hate, hate it when i forget my camera for anything! At least you have the memories and photos from your friend
