I’m stealing Cait’s idea of Noteworthy Nibbles. Mostly because the last two days of my life have been a blur of laziness, and I don’t want to bore you.

There has been a little exercise, more sleep than usual, and a ton of yummy food. Ready?

I’ve had more than a few of these: spinach, protein powder, ice, water

A cake!

Of the chocolate raw variety…

After googling raw chocolate cake, I was faced with about 20 recipes that consisted of only 5 beautiful ingredients:

  1. Medjool dates
  2. Walnuts
  3. Salt
  4. Vanilla
  5. Cocoa powder

…all into the food processor until smooth. Then I shaped it (felt like I was sculpting playdough) and gave it a dusting of dried coconut. Absolutely, positively delicious. I’ve already consumed half of it. Two days. Yes, I want cake.

I’ve also had several summery salads.

Lettuce, green beans, apple, walnuts, apple cider vinegar, evoo

Lettuce, chickpeas, broccoli slaw, trail mix, balsamic vinegar, evoo

Broccoli slaw, black beans, caramelized onions, salsa, hummus, tortilla chips

Some protein ice cream

Soupy and wonderful. You can find HEAB’s  recipe I used here. Just protein powder, cocoa powder, ice, rice milk, xantham gum and a blender. This will be a frequent treat this summer.

Also, a homemade pizza!

I used the easiest crust recipe ever, then topped it with tomato sauce, chickpeas, zucchini, spinach, and broccoli slaw.

I’ve also been doing some home improvements.

Yeah, Meeker and I moved our old couch onto the deck. Classy, no? This couch has been through a lot. My childhood, several college apartments, Meeker and my first condo, an interim apartment, and NOW…it is deck furniture. I love this green, gruby couch.

Revealing myself in my pajamas, without make-up to the blog world. Yikes.

I have a fear that this new deck furniture will be short-lived for a few reasons:

  1. Punky will eat it
  2. The rain will destroy it
  3. Our HOA will find out about it and tell us that it must go
  4. Our tiny deck will collapse under the weight of a big grill AND a big couch

Until then, we’re loving it.

(oh, and Punky is feeling much better – she thanks you for your well wishes!)
