Monday Morning

I’m glad I’m not alone in my adoration of summetime. It really is the best season, and no one can convince me otherwise.

I started out this day with ½ a mini watermelon and some blackberries.

Coffee on the side. A beautiful breakfast. About an hour later, Punky and I went for a run. We are so lucky to live in a community where leashes/dogs don’t necessarily have to go hand-in-hand. It’s so much fun to run with the doggie off her leash. She gets better exercise, and I don’t have to hold anything in my hands. Win, win.

All tuckered out.

After working in the garden for a bit, I decided it was time for another breakfast.

It’s been SO long since I’ve had eggs! These were runny and yummy. I had some mushrooms and salsa on the side for a little flavor flave. Now I’m off to the grocery store – happy Monday!

What’s your favorite season and why?
I think I’ve made it pretty clear that I love summer with all my heart.

  1. Happy Monday, other Katie!

And I can actually mean that, because Mondays in the summertime aren’t to be dreaded like school-day Mondays :) .

  2. Oh, and my favorite season is summer too… it’s warm, and there’s no school!!

  3. Chelsey says:

My favorite season is summer too – I love the warm weather and fresh produce. More importantly, I have all the time in the world to relax after a long hard school year!

Even though it’s completely cold and miserable, there’s something I can’t help but love about winter

Love blackberries, my grandma had some HUGE ones at her house yesterday and I made a HUGE dent in them! Summer is my favorite season too!! :) I am at my happiest and most carefree during the summer.

  6. If I HAD to choose, I’d say summer too. I love the long days and hangin’ out in the sun, camping, climbing, etc. It is a close second to winter, because I do love me some snowboarding. I loathe the in between time, though. Spring and fall totally get on my nerves :P .

  7. My favorite season would have to be fall, with summer following as a close second! Your pup is just adorable!

spring is my favorite season. everything’s blooming, the weather isn’t ridiculously hot, and everyone’s happy that winter is finally over!

  13. I love summer too. Heat, sun and lots of fresh produce…what’s not to love?

  14. Kristen says:

It could snow all summer but if it meant summer break and I had my 2 months, it would still be my favorite. I not only love the weather but the free time!

I sincerely hope you are enjoying your Monday/Summer Katie! I love any Colorado season… I am certain you know what i am getting at… Storms with loud heavy thunder in the spring and summer, ridiculously breezy fall nights with humungous piles of leaves in everyones yards, and of course huge winter snow-storms that cause you to be “snowed-in”… I love them all :) Hopefully i will experience at least some of that in WA!

  16. Lindsay says:

That’s a toughie. I think fall would be my absolute favorite just because I love the crisp weather and the foliage and the start of football season! But a Colorado summer is a close second. They are the best!

  17. hahah that pic of punky is too funny!!! watermelons make the best bowls!

    spring time for sure!!

  18. I love that picture of Punky!! So cute.

Im a big fan of summer – but I love the spring too. And fall when the leaves turn, I love that too. Of course, I love how pretty the snow is so winter is also kind of nice.

Apparently I like all the seasons.

  19. Punky is so, so gorgeous. And I hear you on enjoying neighborhoods that don’t require leashes. I can’t imagine living in a busy city!
the watermelon with blackberries looks just perfecttt – yum!

Looks like a lovely Monday morning. You must be off on summer vacation now?
Mine starts at the end of July, for about 3 weeks…the school terms are a bit weird here, but at least I get some time off, so no complaints :)

  21. Brynne says:

Definitely summer, for too many reasons to list! And Punky looks ADORABLE in that pic!

  22. subliminalaesthetics says:
