Hello Friends! My day was full of movement and I loved it. I started out this morning with a 6am spin class, followed by a nice long walk with Punky. As you can imagine, I was famished afterwards…

A freckled smoothie – ½ banana, 1 peach, ½ cup vanilla soy milk, ½ cup water, ice, 1 scoop protein powder
And then after my shower, I had breakfast part 2.

Coffee and a millet bread + avocado sandwich
After this, I was on the move again! As I mentioned on Tuesday, my co-worker Steve hurt his back, and is having trouble lifting his little boy. So I went over to his house to help out during the day while his wife was at work.

Dark hair and bright blue eyes – this kid hid the gene pool jackpot.

He is too adorable for words.
I came home for lunch and threw together the most delicious salad for lunch.

Zucchini, carrots, edamame, celery, avocado and hum-cue-vay (hummus + bbq sauce + soy vay teriyaki)
And…
after some dark chocolate fuel, I went back to Steve’s house to help out with the little nugget after lunch, and then home again for a snack.

Raw zucchini + carrots + cilantro spring rolls – dipped in peanut sauce (peanut butter + soy sauce + water)
Meeker has to work late tonight, and I didn’t want to eat dinner (or just sit around) without him, so after my snack I took Punky to the dog park for about an hour. The weather was a little cool, but the sky was blue, everything was fresh and gorgeous from all the rain we have been getting, and I got a chance to chat with my grandma on the phone. I was in heaven, and so was the Punkster.
Now I’ve got some broccoli roasting in the oven, and some burgers ready to go on the grill –I’m just waiting for the hub to get home from work…hurry Meek!!
What’s your favorite snack? I always draw a blank when it comes to snacktime – sometimes it takes me 30 minutes just to DECIDE on something to eat. Suggestions, please!

for snacks i eat pretzels + hummus, pita chips + avocado butter (see my blog for this) or bars..or fruit!
I always snack on “nuts” or “fruit”! I know that seems pretty simple but it works for me.
Though lately (Summer) I have been snacking on Itialian Ice at night after dinner, no fat & low calories…….but so good, freshing & cooling. =)
My snacks are not that exciting…sorry!
- Apple
- Air Popped Pop Corn
- Rasins
- yogurt

My latest snack obsession is a handful of multigrain tortilla chips with a smoky black bean and salsa mixture. I also add chopped veggies on top if I have time.
I also love the classic apple/PB combo or some cheese with multigrain crackers.
Berries + yogurt
apples + laughing cow cheese
chips + salsa
carrots + hummus
Apparently I can’t eat just one thing. I must dip it into another food!
If I am very hungry I have the lowest-calories cracker I can find with peanut butter. Peanut butter is high calorie, but keeps you feeling full for a long time.
Grapes are also good.
If you really are trying to loose weight, keep some cut up melon in the fridge for snacking.
You should add some sweet chilli sauce to that dipping sauce, you won’t regret it!
I always usually grab a bowl of cereal for my snacks! x
That smoothie sounds so good! My favorite snack is always some form of fruit with nutbutter!
I need help with the snack department too, for sure! So I’ll be interested to see the responses. Ha ha. Oh, and question. When you put a peach into your smoothie, do you peel it first or just toss it in with the peel? I’m starting to drink more smoothies and was just curious!

apple and peanut butter (or some type of nut butter). this is one of my snackes everyday..it’s filling, yummy, and easy…so I just do it everyday.
then whatever I feel like for the other snacks. (yogurt/banana/coconut!!! or yogurt salsa dip and veggies)..so it usually involves yogurt..
Oh yum! I keep forgetting about your delicious avocado sandwiches. I need to try that!
I also have to try those spring rolls.
I don’t know if you like cottage cheese, but for me that’s the BEST snack. Sometimes I put fruit in it, other times I mix in jam and top with granola.
Other snacks include: PB&J english muffins, small bowl of cereal, turkey roll ups, pretzels dipped in PB or spicy mustard…
Snacks for me are usually greek yogurt with some mix-ins (nuts or dried fruit usually), veggies dipped in peach salsa, apple and almond butter….um….I’m out! haha!
Ohmygosh he has the biggest, sweetest eyes! Adorable!
My favorite snack usually has to do with peanut butter: on toast or with an apple are my usuals.
That little dude is too freakin cute. He is going to grow up to be a good looking guy, for sure!

For snacks, I’m a fan of the mini Clif bars, whole wheat pretzels with hummus or salsa, or fresh mangos and peaches!
My favourite snack is definitely cabbage with EVOO and balsamic vinegar

No way, I had almost the exact same shake today! The only difference was I used spinach instead of the protein powder, and more like 1/3 of a banana.
Mm, your food looks great. I’ve been wanting to make those spring rolls so badly!
Snack time is hard for me too. I can’t always come up with something creative, and nine times out of ten it doesn’t fill me. When I’m on the go, I just grab a bar (Raw Revolution, Gnu, Bora Bora) and some dry-roasted edamame. Oh, and lotsa water.

Mmm. I love how peaches make it look like there’s confetti in my drink. I’ve been getting into avocado sandwiches a lot lately too! I like to add a little garlic powder before I close the sandwich up! Favorite snacks… I do a lot of smoothies, or a piece of toast with apple butter, or an apple with peanut/almond butter. Sometimes, it takes me a while to pick a snack too!
One of my favourite snacks is carrots dipped in peanutbutter (or whichever nut butter you fancy). It is perfect every time.
oh my gosh, that kid is ADORABLE.
right now I’m loving those Emerald cocoa covered almonds. So good! I also love plain greek yogurt mixed with some flavored yogurt since I don’t like either one straight up. or your banana protein chocolate “frosty” is a favorite.

My favourite quick snack is half an avocado, with lots of lemon juice and sea salt. Then I eat it out of the peel with a spoon. Yum! But a smoothie of any variety is always great too.
