#3

It’s almost Thursday!! I kind of missed counting down the weekdays during the summer. I really do like my job, but weekends are sweet, and I can’t wait.

Breakfast

Green Monster: 1 cup frozen spinach (don’t forget the frozen spinach key!), ½ cup frozen blueberries, ½ cup soy milk, ½ frozen banana, 2 cups water – blended for about 2 minutes.

Froth.

Lunch was extraordinary! Once a month, the parents at my school cook lunch for the teachers. This month’s theme was Farwell Summer BBQ.

fruit (x5), cucumbers, broccoli, pulled pork, bbq beef, and a chicken leg (which I didn’t eat because I was fullll). I also had some bean/avocado/cilantro mess that was fantastic. Parents, you are the best.

I didn’t even need a snack this afternoon because I was so dang full for the rest of the day. When I came home I had one thing on my mind (Kristen, when you mentioned sweet potatoes at lunch, this stuck in my mind!)

Sweet potato (wrapped in plastic and microwaved for 7 minutes) with peanut butter, banana slices and cinnamon

It hit the spot, but left me wanting something juicy.

Summery cantaloupe.

In the 3rd grade world…

One of my students came up to me today and said:

Mrs. Unger, I just went #3 in the bathroom.

I wish I could have seen what my face looked like. I was perplexed. I mean…I have a couple guesses as to what #3 is, but I’ve NEVER heard that before. Anyone else?!

Haha, oh yes, my friends and I used to make up a list of what #1-10 is. Haha, just imagine any possible bodily fluid, haha! ;) We’re real mature, obviously! ;)

What a yummy combination of sweet potato, banana, and pb! I’ll have to give that a try!!

Went #3, hahaha!! Sounds like a fun day in your classroom!
That sweet potato, banana and pb combo looks delicious, but when I first glanced at that picture I thought the banana slices were hard boiled eggs:)

  3. Evan Thomas says:

I think it’s when you do #1 and #2. If not, I shudder to think what else there is.

  4. Sarah says:

Could I use fresh spinach in the Green Monster instead of frozen? I would imagine it’d work out about the same, no?

And I too thought at first glance that the banana was hard boiled eggs! Haha, that’d be gross! Banana sounds way better!

  5. Tori says:

Maybe #3 is a combo of #1 and 2? Who knows!?

  6. #3 might be the softer stuff….if you know what I mean. :)

Omg, I know that in the end I’ll wish I didn’t know, but I have to know! Please, please ask for clarification! Also, perhaps you could put a “Potty Panda” next to the Tattle Turtle so that kids could leave you those updates in note form and you could just dump (hehe) the notes at the end of the day.

If #3 is something that starts catching-on in this world, I may fear for us all.

Love the parents-lunch thing! I can only imagine what bean-avocado-cilantro-thing is, but it sounds like my bag.

  21. Shannon says:

Haha! I just heard this one recently from my son (3rd grader)-I was taken back too-I think he told me it was throwing up?
