Greeky Goodness
Posted: September 3, 2010 Filed under: Delish Dinners 11 Comments »My eating today was sub par. I need to go grocery shopping. I just want to show you my dinner since it was the eating highlight of my day.

Yes, I eat pepperoni sometimes.
The salad: lettuce, olives, artichoke hearts, pepperoni
The dressing: 1/3 cup lemon juice, ¼ cup evoo, squeeze of agave (or pinch of sugar), 1 clove minced garlic, 1 tsp. grated red onion, 2 basil leaves – all blended for 30 seconds or so, or until it starts to look creamy.

Mmm, greeky, garlicky goodness.
In the 3rd grade world…
There’s something funny about kids cursing, even if it’s just in writing. This was submitted to the tattle turtle today:

Tanner showed me and Matthew the ass word.
My kids got their own personal dictionaries from the Rotary club, and they’ve spent the last 2 days looking up curse words. Remember when this happened last year? We had to have a major class discussion about why they shouldn’t do this, and now they’re tattling on each other for it. Hilarious.
This little tattle turtle entry made me laugh too:

Way to express yourself, kiddo.

Hahaha…those note cards are funny! I don’t normally eat pepperoni but yours looks really good!
I am sooo not a pepperoni person. No idea why… maybe because I don’t like sausage?
I would frame those cards….pepperoni was never my thing, when I was in third grade though, I thought they were made of “peppers”. If only I had you as a teacher…
i LOVE pepperoni! weird, ive been craving it lately, and now your post reconfirms that i am buying some next trip to the store. i used to work at a deli and when people ordered pepperoni (yes i was a meat slicer) i would slice off a few extra pieces just to eat! haha.
love the tattle cards.
Looks like a “pizza” salad…I am sure it was great.
Ha ha. I love it when they use naughty words but don’t mean to. For example – writing ‘crap’ instead of ‘crab’ – “There were lots of craps crawling along the beach” xx
Pepperoni is SO good. Too bad it’s on my “forbidden foods”-list because of my high cholesterol. I love your Greek dinner, it looks really tasty!
The tattle turtle is a great and healthy way for young minds to begin expressing themselves. LOVE the idea. You’re a great teacher!
Hahaha, I can totally remember doing stuff like that. Adorable.
I dont know if this is weird, but from an outsider’s view those kids seem too darn sweet. I love that you share parts of the third grade world.
omgosh that is too freaking cute/funny! you never know what ur gonna get with kids. have you tried hormel’s turkey pep? it is SO good!
