It’s 8:30am on a Monday morning, and guess what? I’m at home, eating a leisurely breakfast at my sunny kitchen table. What aren’t you at work? You ask? Well…it’s fall break!!
That’s right – a whole glorious week, free to do what I want.
What do I want this week? Well, cake for breakfast is a great starter.
Apple Chunky Cake to be exact. Do you know how long it’s been since I’ve had cake?? Waaay too long. This was perfect paired with some milky tea.
And the rest of the day has been set aside for massive amounts of laundry, bathroom cleaning, dog walking, and grading papers. Things I’m actually thrilled about having the time to get done. Wheee!

Isn’t Fall Break wonderful! Our school system is on Fall Break also, and like you, I plan to do lots of grading and lesson planning, but at my leisure! Oh and throw in some relaxation and QT time with my hun…That apple cake looks sooo good. Enjoy your week! :0)

I’m a teacher as well and we had fall break last week. Today is our first day back and the students are still bouncing off the walls. This is my first year teaching and I’m in love with it! If for no other reason than all the breaks we get! Hope you have a wonderful fall break.
