Jenna’s 15 minute oatmeal scones saved my life this morning. I woke up wanting nothing but a freshly baked breakfast. The problem is that I woke up at 7:30am, and I have to be at the dentist at 8:30am.
So I stumbled out of bed and got right to work.

Whenever I start to cut in the butter – I think of a little 1st grade girl I used to nanny for named Fiona. Fiona and I used to make scones after school at least once a week; they were favorite snack. Cutting in the butter was her favorite job, and she would scream at anyone (her brothers) who tried to take the job from her.

But it was my job this morning. And about 12 minutes later…

Delicious oatmeal scones!

With some soymilky tea on the side.

And now I’m off to the dentist. Happy Wednesday, all!

I must try these scones!
I never tried scones, maybe I should make these to finally now what scones are
)
Ohh they look so good!! I love that they’re only 15 minutes, too.
Mmm, especially with Good Earth. THE BEST TEA!
mmm i love scones but i hate how the dough sticks all over my fingers! it just makes me want to eat it!
Those scones look amazing. I want some.
Those sound amazing! What a great idea.
I’ve seen Jenna’s scones all over Blog World – must try soon!
Hope all is well at the dentist…
Mmm…15 minutes to a delicious breakfast scone sounds so perfect. I’m going to try these soon.
I made Heather’s pumpkin oaties you had posted on your blog a few days ago, and now I MUST try those oatmeal scones. They look so light, easy and delicious!
I’ve never made a scone. Those look super easy and I can just imagine the flavor possibilities. They could probably be savory like a garlic cheese biscuit from Red Lobster.
I would rather have my toenails pulled out than go to the dentist. Glad you got it done!
cut the butter made me think of cut the cheese…hehe…guess you cant escape 3rd grade mentality even on your week off
Those scones look great!! I will have to make these soon!!
P.S. Soooooooo jealous of your fall break!! Enjoy it, you deserve it!!
