Hello wonderful people! I am still overwhelmed by the love and support that you all have been pouring out! Thank you so much for all of the comments and emails – it means the world to me.
So, I’ll come clean with you all, mornings are still really hard for me. I feel like a zombie with the stomach flu. I find I do better if I just eat little snacks until lunchtime, and then try for the full(ish) meal then. This morning was no different. I ate what looked like bird food at 5:30am…

Cracklin’ Oat Bran and some almonds. Then I drank a green monster around 7:00, an apple around 9:30, and 2 spoonfuls of peanut butter (from an emergency jar I keep in my desk) at 10:30. Then I came home for lunch at 11:30.
You all said you were excited to see my weird pregnancy cravings – well here it is.

Refried beans. I cannot get enough of them – it’s all I ever want to eat. I actually had them for “breakfast” on Monday – kind of ridiculous. For lunch today, it was a tortilla with refritos in it, and a cup on the side as well.

Then around 2:30, I had my veggie intake.

A can of green beans, and a little nub of zucchini bread (made by our lunch lady!) on the side.
After school…the adventure began. You see, we just finished reading the book Matilda in class, and I told my kiddos we could watch the movie after we finished the book (I rarely do this, but the movie is such a good one). Last year, I found the DVD at blockbuster – no problem. Well, when I went there today, they didn’t have it. So I went on a 2 hour scavenger hunt around town looking for the movie Matilda. At about 6pm, I was so hungry that I stopped at Sprouts for some sustenance.

A couple handfuls later, I was ready to hit the road again with renewed strength. After visiting another Blockbuster, Wal-Mart, the Public Library, and Target – I finally found it! Target had it for only $5…why oh why didn’t I go there first?! So at 7pm, I returned home, and now I’m too exhausted to make a proper dinner. Hopefully, the seeds/pretzels combo will hold me over until morning.
In the 3rd grade world…
Remember the afternoon at the drive-in last year? Well, we’re doing it again tomorrow. I will be sure to document the creativity, so stay tuned.

I love seeing these prego eats. Especially the refried beans. Too funny.
What I really want to know if how many of my recipes have made you sick to look at in the past 3 months??
I love cracklin oat bran. It’s probably my favorite cereal from when I was a kid. No lie! LOL
The day I start craving refried beans, I must be pregnant. I’ve never liked em!
Your story is funny cause a few days ago I had been searching for seasonal cookie cutters for halloween or fall, and after looking in several stores I finally found some at Target! Target has everything! We should definetely search there first for something next time
I’m not pregnant, but I could eat refried beans every day of my life!
I would hate being nauseous in the morning and not able to eat breakfast. Oh well, more reason to eat oatmeal the rest of the day!
No shame in refried beans! They are fabulous!
I am sure you will start to crave different things and
that you won’t have to eat refried beans for the next 8 months or so!
Matilda is quite the elusive movie. I had to end up purchasing it on Itunes after a crazy search like yours. You rock. Have i told you that before? Any teacher that allows there kids to watch awesome flicks like this one, and in a drive-in setting no less… COOL! You have me thinking i may be pregnant now because of how i eat. I had a pickle and refried beans with my dinner tonight… And a banana carrot ginger muffin for dessert with tahini spread on top? Now i am hungry for another veggie sandwich, i’ll let you know when i’m due!
Oh.Em.Gee. Cracklin’ Oat Bran???? AHH! I have to get some now! I haven’t had that lip-smacking goodness in _years_. Good buy
I might get in trouble for saying this, but I think Matilda is one of the few cases in which the movie is BETTER than the book
That afternoon at the drive in idea is the cutest thing ever!!
I don’t think that’s so weird
It looks like your fueling yourself well and that’s all that matters.
I craved refried beans so much my first trimester too. Something about beans, cheese, and a tortilla was so comforting. Hope the morning ickies pass soon.
Ok I have to see if Meeker will comment…but those refried beans will bring on ‘things’ later as your get preggo bigger
But they are great for fiber and filling! I think your little cupcake in the oven will ask for more food around 9pmish…..but the seeds look great! Oh how I miss Sprouts…..you would have loved today…send you the link ok
