Three days left until Christmas break!

I started my morning like I usually do…Crossfit ( hero workout from yesterday) and a large bowl of Kashi/banana/soy milk
Lunch

lettuce, cucumber, edamame, dressing

Pita Pal and crackers in my reusable back from etsy.com

This dip is really good, but it left me with some atrocious onion breath. Worth it, I say.
Dinner

Soup and salad

I used THIS RECIPE, but changed it up a little by blending it after the vegetables were mushy with my immersion blender – it gave it a nice texture, but to be honest, the taste didn’t really do it for me. It was a little bland. (Meeker said he really liked it, but he also added about 3 handfuls of shredded cheese the bowl.)

The salad, however, was delicious. As was my dessert…

a cup of frozen pineapple
In other news, I made a lightbox this weekend – which is why my dinner photos aren’t dark and grainy like usual. (Thanks for the idea, Holly!)

I love.
In the 3rd grade world…
Remember my ex-chinese student from last year??

She brought me (Baby Cakes) this present today!

I miss her and her shenanigans.

I love how she said you were her favorite 3rd grade teacher – did she have more than one?
That’s like me telling the Husband all the time that “he is the best husband I’ve ever had.”
That is so cute. It has to be tough when some students leave!
I love the light box!
Some of my students gave me a half birthday present last week, it was sooo cute!
lol you’re her favorite 3rd grade teacher. Looks like you might have some competition! Thats adorable.
Love the light box!

I’m contemplating making a light box, but I’m terrified of all things crafty haha.
Love the ex-Chinese girl, tooooo cute!
I actually hate crafts, too – and I threw a fit halfway through making it when the tissue paper kept ripping, but now I’m really glad i have it!
Haha, love the light box! Crafty lady, very, very crafty!
Ooooh! I am so going to be making a light box! And now I have time because I just got done with finals! Woo hoo! Hello Christmas break! =)
How did you make that lightbox! Your dinner pictures looked beautiful! I have the same problem you (used to) have – my nighttime pictures suck!
I wish I could take credit for the lightbox idea, but I followed this tutorial to the letter and it came out perfectly: http://www.neverhomemaker.com/2010/11/how-to-build-light-box-photography.html
What a great idea with the lightbox! All of my pictures turn out horrible unless taken in the morning!
