One of my favorite Crossfit workouts is one called Fight Gone Bad. However, it’s pretty intense, and I hadn’t really figured out (or taken the time to figure out) how to modify it for my current condition.
So when I went to Crossfit Mom last night and saw Fight Gone Bad…Mama Style, I was giddy. I literally bounded out of bed when my alarm went off at 4:28 this morning, and sped to the gym for my workout.
It was the best part of my day.
I snacked on ½ an apple on my way to the gym, and the other half when I returned.

Then after showering, a more filling breakfast.

Shredded wheat and strawberries
Lunch was the best thing ever.

I mixed whipped cream cheese with celery and green onions. Then spread it on a toasted bagel with a big handful of spinach.

Unbelievably yummy.
I also had an apple (or two).

Love these guys.
When I got home, I had a popsicle.

These weren’t as good as the lime, but still refreshing.
For dinner, it was vegan mac ‘n cheese.

With sautéed broccoli. I’ve made this recipe 100 times, and it never, ever disappoints. Thanks Mama Pea.
In the 3rd grade world…

I have this picture of Meek and I on my desk at work. A little girl was looking at it today and asked:
“Is that Mr. Unger?”
“Yes” I replied.
“Oh really…I thought Mr. Unger was…brown.“
“Brown?”
“Yeah, you know…like brown skinned.”
This wouldn’t be so funny if we lived in…well, anywhere buy Colorado (and if Meeker wasn’t the whitest guy I know). We probably have 10 brown people in our community, and even less in our school.
Where she got the idea that my husband was a studly black man…I have no idea.

lol thats too cute! Kids get the funniest ideas in their heads.
This is too cute! Kids do say some funny things :0)
Tales from the third grade always slay me, your kids sound adorable! That cream cheese looks genius, did you make a big batch or just what you needed for today? I’ve thought about making flavored cream cheese at home in the past but it always seems too hard (literally); perhaps whipped cream cheese is the key.
I just made what I needed for that sandwich, but I SHOULD have made a big batch, because it was dang good. And I just made some more for tomorrow’s lunch. Thanks for the good idea!
HAHAHAHAHAHA that has to be one of the best stories you’ve ever told. He does have brown hair?
Now I’m craving popsicles. Ha, ha. LOVE popsicles in the summer!!
Kiddos are so hilarious!

That’s so funny! Sometimes (only sometimes!), I wish I could hear my kids’ thoughts.
Haha, the way you cut your apple made it look like it was sinking in quick-sand.
I bet your workout was awesome!! I need to make vegan mac & cheese one of these days. That pic of you and your hubby is way cute.
That is SUCH a pretty picture of you guys!! Too cute!
I wonder were she got that idea becasue that is SO random! Sometimes kids get things in their head and they see it that way!
FOR EXAMPLE: When I was in 1rst grade I saw this girl who always wore a bright pink jacket! So OF COURSE, Her name must have been bubble gum, right?
Anyways I called her that one day and she was so confused. So was I. I mean I thought her name was bubblegum.
True Story
Loving the 3 apples! I had three today as well! and I SO want to try that sandwich and the vegan mac n cheese! Your bowl looks delicious!
