Thank you all so much for your comments, emails, and tweets! If you couldn’t tell – we are just overjoyed with Adrienne. Life is good.
My appetite, however, hasn’t returned. I expected it to come back with a vengeance after she was born – but so far, I’ve been subsiding mostly on fruit and popsicles. Which is okay by me.
But yesterday, I had something I’d been dreaming about for months…
A turkey sandwich!
You aren’t supposed to eat deli meat while preggo – so I’d held off for the last 10 months, but when we got home from the hospital yesterday – I ate this and enjoyed every single bite. The blackberries were phenomenal, too.
A lot of you asked to hear more about my birth experience – and I promise to share more with you when I have more than a second to sit down to the computer. But for now, I have to rush off to get Adrienne to her 3 day-old doctor’s appointment. (I can’t believe I had a baby 3 days ago!)
I’ll leave you with a picture of the introduction…
Punky has been so sweet with her…I think they’re going to be best friends.
I am just so happy for you!! *Squeal*
Such a cute picture. Can’t wait to hear more!
Awww what an adorable picture
I hope your appetite returns soon
She is just absolutely beautiful! Congrats to you both! I can’t wait to see more!
How did I not know that about deli meat? Do I spy some Vibrams on Meeker?
I’m so excited for your little family.
Ohhmygosh …. so adorable is bebe Adrienne! Love her old-fashioned name. In high school, my BFF had the same lovely name …. we always called her Addy.
Love bebe’s sweet little hat. My opinion = ALL newborns/infants should definitely wear hats to protect their precious keppies. Also, covered eyes from sun glare.
You look fantastic Katie. Saw the first photo (yesterday?) holding Adrienne (outside)wrapped up in the “heart” blankie!
Along with your new/wonderful life ….. ENJOY those turkey-sammies!!
Awww …… “Punky” is the sweetest! My Sophie & Gidget would be kissing her at every chance!
Looking forward to future stories.
That picture is so sweet! I can’t wait to hear more about Adrienne. Love that name btw.
Cute! So glad they’re getting along so well AND that your appetite is slowly creeping back. Turkey sams for the win!
Yay for deli meat! My sister wants a sandwich so bad, but she has to wait until September! Adrienne is beautiful!
Life looks good, Katie!
That picture is precious. Something you will always look back on a smile!
A couple days after I had my daughter I couldn’t eat either. You would think breastfeeding and being able to eat anything you want would make you starving but I hated eating the week after giving birth. Almost felt sickly eating, but always sooooo thirsty!
Yes, the thirst is unbelievable!!
Soak up every second with you precious little girl!
What a beautiful baby girl! Congratulations Katie, such a gorgeous family!
Aww aww aww that photo of the two of them needs to be framed!! She looks like a little doll, almost….so freaking sweet. Congratulations again!!
