It was chilly, but it didn’t rain today! Which means, we actually got outside and did things. It felt so good.
Breakfast

the bagel was toasted and had almond butter and honey
Lunch

Same sandwich as yesterday. I think the reason I’ve been opting for sandwiches lately is because they’re a good one-handed-food.

Sandwich in one hand, baby in the other.
After Adrienne went down for a nap, Meeker and I got our veggie garden in the ground.

The wooden box on the left is for planting potatoes. (Meeker is good at building things)
Then my friend Tona came over with her kiddos for coffee! (Remember Tona? She’s the mom from my class last year who brought me all sorts of food goodies)

I made these easy scones, and sprinkled them with cinnamon just for fun.
Dinner

Hello, summer.

steamed asparagus, corn on the cob, roasted potatoes
Want to know my secret for making quick roasted potatoes? I baked about 6 potatoes in my crock pot this weekend and stored them in the refrigerator. For dinner, I just cut up the already cooked potatoes and threw them in a skillet with a little olive oil, garlic salt, and lemon pepper. It took about five minutes, and was completely delicious.
In the 3rd grade world…
Yes, I went back to the third grade world today! I had promised my kiddos that I would come introduce them to Adrienne before school was out for the summer (tomorrow). So, we went to the end of the year party today.

We got mobbed by about 50 kids when we walked up, but most lost interest after about 10 minutes of hugging and signing yearbooks. However, these six girls spent the entire party just staring at and talking to Adrienne. Little girls are sweet.

Aww look at how mesmerized those little ones are by Adrienne! So stinking cute!
Awwweeee!!! That is so sweet! It’s it great when you can literally cue “Awwwweeee’s” from girls when you talk about babies! ESPECIALLY Adrienne!
TOnight at dinner I said well we went to see Babycakes at Katie’s today….and Graci said: CUTENESS….and she does the neatest thing with her arms and legs! Thank you for having us over and baking those scones…you should not of done that! But we are so thankful! We miss you….anytime you need to get out or need anything call ok! I am so making those cakepops for Graci’s bbq bday. xoxox We heart you and babycakes!
That’s so sweet that you were able to take her in to see your kids… I’m sure they were ecstatic!
Awww how sweet is that? Looks like you’ve already got lots of potential babysitters for when she’s older.
Aww how adorable. And wow.. jealous your district is out of school tomorrow. We get oout June 17. Just curious.. when does your school year start?>
Lovin’ corn on the cob lately. TOTALLY SUMMER!

I was like those little girls, amazed by little babies
Really cute
That garden looks so neat! Love the potato box!! Little girls ARE so sweet. Now that I’m watching babies for a living I have a whole new appreciation for the sweetness of my own daughters who are both absolutely wonderful around the new littles. I’m sure the girls were very excited to meet Adrienne.
That’s too cute. I was definitely like that when I was little!
Aaaah, I love that you got to go show your precious Adrienne off. If I was in your class, I’d probably have kidnapped her.
Oh that is totally sweet. You can already tell that those girls will be caring women one day.
I love Tona! She is my email buddy

[...] During one of those pockets, I handed her off to her Daddy (who rocked her until she fell asleep…hallelujah!) and I got to make some food that wasn’t a sandwich. [...]
