I got four consecutive hours of sleep last night. Plus a few more hours spread sporadically throughout the night. It was glorious. I feel like a brand new (refreshed) Mama today.
Breakfast

a pear and some toast made under the broiler
Lunch

A Hugh Jass salad – spinach, corn (raw and cut off the cob), bean sprouts, 2 carrots, cucumber, balsamic vinaigrette
Dinner – Like everything that Jessica makes – these Portobello Burgers were incredible.

Happy Thursday!

mmmm glad you liked the burgers. wish those were my dinner tonight!
Seriously, those burgers, so dang good!
Also, I finished “The Island” today…and LOVED it. I am totally mourning the story being over. I just loved it. Thanks for the great recommendation…now please find me another good book that I can’t put down.
Reading about your lunch, after seeing it in other posts, I finally understood what *Hugh Jass* really means!
Hah! I’m glad it clicked for you!
Three meals! Hoo-rah!
You eat like NOTHING though. You barely seem to have any fat and calories. Do you feel healthy posting such little food on your blog. Seems kinda triggering. Not making accusations…just saying!
Thanks for your comment…and thanks for the chance to clarify – I don’t always post everything I eat! I try to make it a point to say that on a regular basis, but you’re right, I haven’t mentioned it in a while. I had snacks in between those meals today…I just didn’t photograph them. You can usually count on me eating an apple (or 3) each day, as well as handfuls of nuts here and there. Today I also had a zucchini muffin, some pretzels, and a spoonful of peanut butter between the ’3 square meals’ – sorry for the confusion!
So glad to know things are going so well for you and your new family! You are a natural mama.
Your babe looks so tiny next to the little girls at school! Has she gained a pound already? And I confused, school is done at the end of May? It’s June here in Canada, Lucky kids (and teachers)!
*I’m
She has ALMOST gained a pound, just a few ounces short.
And yes, we get out at the end of May, and start back up on August 1st.
Will first slept for 4 consecutive hours on Mother’s day and it was the best gift I’ve ever received. It’s amazing how much difference just 4 hours can make.
I know, right!? I was thrilllled about it.
How much do you love calling yourself “mama”
I can’t wait until I can someday.
The burger picture is so pretty. Yay for sleep. I need to do that right now!
Yay for 4 hours, that’s awesome! You should do a post on sleep/feeding if you have time, I’d be interested to learn more about how it all works. None of my friends have babies yet and it looks like I’m going to be first (in 2 years!) so I’m trying to stockpile information!
I’m glad you had more sleep! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that all your nights will go like that!
I just got caught up on yesterday’s post- those little girls are so cute!! Yay for more sleep
Those burgers look lovely!
I was just looking at those yummy burgers yesterday on Jessica’s website…Mmmm!
