All I could think about today was doughnuts. Specifically Cait’s doughnuts. I don’t really know why, but they’ve been on my mind since I woke up. Naturally, all of my food was a tragic disappointment due to the fact none of it even resembled a doughnut.

Breakfast


Okay, a bagel resembles a doughnut, but it did nothing for my craving.

Lunch


A salad and two corn tortilla pizzas are nothing like doughnuts, but tasty nonetheless.

garden lettuce, cucumbers, shredded carrots, feta cheese, sunflower seeds and hummus + water for dressing

Two corn tortillas with melted pepper jack cheese and turkey pepperoni – I had to try this after I saw Ashley’s tortilla pizzas last week. They were good – but they weren’t doughnuts.

This washed it all down nicely. Almost made me forget about my doughnut craving.

Snack


Carrots, ½ beet, nub of ginger – thrown into the juicer…

I felt  like Edward Cullen drinking this gorgeous red concoction.

Dinner


Grilled Hodge Podge Salad – in the works.

Incredible. I will never get tired of this salad. Who needs a doughnut when you have a salad like this?

Actually, I still want a doughnut. I don’t think I can wait until sugar-free-July is over. I may have to do some experimenting this week. You’ll be the first to know if I succeed…stay tuned!
