You all have emailed me requesting pictures of my new haircut. Okay, it’s not really new anymore. But I rarely get gussied up these days, so it’s taken me a while to get some pictures where it’s actually looks like it is supposed to.
I’m sorry to tell you, this is what it looks like on a pretty regular basis.
But when I do manage to get that shower in and blow dryer out – it looks like this.
And then when I have to do things…like the laundry or change diapers or make dinner. It goes back. Half way. Can’t stand hair in my face.
So there you have it. If I let it dry naturally, it looks like a giant poofball.
Don’t you dare ask for pictures.
Short hair or long hair, which do you prefer?

On a more serious note, my thoughts and prayers are with those families who were affected by 9/11 today. God bless America.

I absolutely love it! You look great.
C’mon Katie! What’s with the no poofball pics!?
You look fab! My hair looked sorta like that when I got it cut……..and I shoulda had it trimmed again before I came back here because it’s looking a little lampshade-ish now. BOO! Anyway, glad to see you are feelin’ better!
I love it. I wish my hair worked being short – you don’t know giant poof ball until you see my hair, short and dried naturally. Haha.
Cute. I have curly hair and it looks better on the shorter side, like at my chin. When it’s longer, it gets really flat on top.
Love the new hair cut!!
I love the hair. It looks so cute.
I’m a big fan of shorter hair. Its so much easier. Anything that can be blown dry and styled in 6 minutes is perfect for me.
Gorgeous!!! Your hair looks cute even in its “messy” state.
LOVE
You look great, Katie! I think both long and short hair have their positive points and their negative points. I chopped mine last spring.. and it was so much more manageable.. it didn’t get tangled as much when I had to comb it – and it looked healthier.
Right now – I am growing it for my wedding. It is in the awkward in-between long and short phase right now – but I can’t wait to be able to braid it again!
I think you look GREAT. And girl, if you could see what *I* look like on a regular basis, you’d throw your hands in the aya like you just don’t caya.
Looks awesome, Katie!! I’m a “long” hair girl – growing up, my mom would never let me cut it, so now, I just leave it long. It’s frizzy, puffy, and unruly on most occasions. I’m fine with that.
Do you have strabismus?
I love the cute, I prefer shorter hair but the boy likes it longer. Oyy
ahh your hair is so cute!! I love short hair…currently I am growing it out (or trying)….but that bob is such a flattering look!
So cute! It’s a great style for you! After recently cutting my hair off, I think that I prefer longer hair. Ask me again in about six months, and I’ll probably have a different answer
hahah, I feel the same way!
You look awesome! I like It both ways, which is probably why I’m always changing my hair.
Thanks for posting the pictures Katie…your hair look great, very pretty!!
Thank you – you’re too kind.
i love it both ways! But I think short suits you : )
well thank you – the question was in reference to yourself – but I appreciate the compliment, my dear!
So pretty!! Personally I love short hair. I think it looks so sassy and makes women look mature.
I love it! i actually really really like how it looks when it’s up so thats a definite WIN! For myself I prefer long hair, but I wish i could rock short hair! It totally depends on the person I think.
I agree! I would love long flowing locks, but it kind of drags my whole face down when it gets to a certain point…bummer!
I have long hair and love it. It’s naturally curly/wavy but I straighten it most days – it’s a pain in the bum!
Love the new haircut on you! It’s super cute!
love.the.hair. short hair always wins in my book. you look great!
Thank you! I actually thought it looked a lot like yours! Which I love.
Katie,
Ive ALWAYS admired your hair. You wanna hear something stupid and kinda shallow?
I started reading your blog cause I saw your avatar and I though, “her hair looks good, she must know something I dont.”
And they I fell in love with the person you are!
Ahaha, really?! That’s too funny…I can’t even think what my hair looks like in my avatar – I’m going to have to go look. Also…can we talk about hair envy? Yours is insane – all those luscious curls, I’m in love with them!
Love it!
Love your hair!
I actually cut off all my hair too a few weeks ago! Just havent posted any pics yet of it. I love the change though and it’s so light now that about 6 inches was cut off!
That’s about how much I cut off, too – it IS so freeing!
Short is really cute and it works well with your life style.
I think it is super cute, even pulled back! This is somewhat similar to mine, although I wish my hair were thicker like yours. I am the same way- can’t stand hair in my face, which is a given when changing diapers, looking down while feeding, etc, etc.
Hope you’re feeling better!
I am feeling so much better, thank you!
Love it! I never have short hair because I hate the way it makes my face look but I love it on other people.
Your hair looks fabulous, it really suits you
I love long neat bobs but it would never work with curly hair!
I actually have curly hair! And you’re right…it looks awful if I let it just dry on it’s own. Bummer.
You remind me of Kara Goucher, who I think is beautiful!
Aww thank you! What a compliment! I wish I could run like her, too.
Adorable! But it also looks cute in a ponytail and headband. I haven’t mastered the casual, effortless-looking but still cute ponytail the way you have.
CUTE! i love it–you’re so sassy!
No way — don’t be “sorry”. I absolutely love it pulled back with the headband. CUTE.
OMgawd. We are hair twins!!! Love the ponytail with the band + bump in the back. Will have to do that!
