Thank you all so much for your kind comments about my mama. We are just overjoyed, and it meant so much to me (and her!) that you all were so happy and celebratory right along with her. I feel so blessed to have such supportive readers – thank you.
Now, for more juice.
I had several comments and questions regarding my last juice post.
Mostly, you wanted to know how I come up with the juice combos and why the heck I would juice things instead of eat them. Well…I don’t not eat. I like some juice in the morning before my breakfast, or as a snack in the afternoon. No meal replacements for me.
As for how I come up with them….well, it’s by accident mostly. I look in our fridge/fruit basket, see what produce is on it’s last leg, and throw it in the juicer. I’m not blending rotten produce – just produce that isn’t crispy enough for me to enjoy on it’s own. Or that I don’t think I can eat before it goes bad.
With that said – I’ve created a Juice Section on my recipe page. Click on over there to find out about some of the last-leg-combos that have been enjoying lately. They’re not really recipes, just ideas.
Happy juice drinking!

I need a juicer!!!!!
So glad your Mama (and you!) felt our love
What type of juicer do you have? I would love to get one because I hate throwing away produce that I just can’t get around to eating. This would be a perfect way to prevent that!
I have a Jack Lalanne juicer. It’s great, hard to clean, but I love it. Got it for Christmas last year – maybe you need to write Santa a letter.
I haven’t used our juicer in forever!! I’ll have to put it to use this weekend! Gonna take a look at some of your recipe ideas! thanks!
Oh fun! I’m definitely going to borrow my sister’s juicer and try some of these. I’ll be honest and say that they probably need to be sweet for me to try them.
Thanks for being honest with me.
How could anyone think you don’t eat after the juice?! juice is like liquid vitamins, very delicious, but not really filling..and I know you, like me, enjoy multiple breakfasts
!! Either way when Santa brings me my juicer I can’t wait to check our your accidental recipes!
I’ve never juiced anything, mostly because I enjoy eating produce so much alone, I don’t wanna use them up in liquid form .
Yours look AMAZING though.
Snorkel time!
wait, what?
What kind of juicer do you own? I have been saving up my money to buy one, but I want to make sure that I get the right one!
I have a Jack Lalanne juicer…it works really well. A pain to clean, but it juices like a champ.
That juice looks delicious! I couldn’t help but notice that in the first picture there is a potato in the background. You juiced a potato?!
Yes! Don’t ask me the nutritional value of juicing a potato – but I do it all the time.
