Remember Babycakes? I do.
I made twenty-recipes from that book, which is, without a doubt, more recipes than I have ever made from a single cookbook in my life. However, I regularly make tons of recipes from other blogs.
I’m talking 3-4 a week. So, I think I will start telling you all about the fantastic fellow-food-blogger-food I eat during the week. That way, you can go get those fantastic recipes for yourself and everyone wins.
Ready?
On Monday, I made Cait’s Congo Bars.
I’m a little embarrassed to admit how many I’ve eaten since then. Let’s just say it’s been a struggle for me to eat less than 3 a day.
I also made Mama Pea’s Bliss Salad.
That lady knows her salads. It was positively blissful.
For a family gathering last weekend I made Jessica’s Crazy Feta.
Let me tell you. I was afraid of this recipe because it had jalapenos in it, and I’m a major wuss when it comes to spicy food. But I figured it would all get eaten by others since I was bringing it to a family dinner. However, one bite and I wanted to pack it back up and hide it in my purse. Luckily, we had leftovers and I’ve been eating it all week.
And because I don’t already eat enough orange, I made these black bean and sweet potato tacos from Joy the Baker.
Meeker and I ate the ALL in about 5 minutes flat. Inhaled. And enjoyed to the full.
Happy Friday!

oh man… my cousin and i were discussing the crazy feta last night and i decided that i have to make it again today. it is soo delish. like you, i also am not a huge fan of spicy food – but isn’t it amazing? so glad you liked it!
These all sound fabulous! I like this little recap of recipes you liked from other blogs! I’m going to make some of these now!
I need that feta! Everything Jess creates is pure gold!
I love the idea of giving a shout out to other blogger’s recipes. I find myself turning to cookbooks less and less these days. The crazy feta has been bookmarked forever! Maybe I will finally make it this week.
Who knew all I needed to do to scare you toss some jalapenos onto your lawn!
I’m on that!
oooooo…the Congo Bars look awesome…clicking over now. You can find me in a sugar coma, laying on the couch.
Yay! I’m so glad you liked the congo bars
And yeah, I hear you on it being a struggle to eat less than 3 a day! Haha. I had the same problem (ours are no longer in existence…)
Ours are almost gone. Looks like I need to make some more (or make those pumpkin scones!)
Delicious! I made Jenna’s polenta recipe last night that she posted yesterday and it was awesome. Isn’t it funny how blogs kind of replace cookbooks now? I haven’t touched my shelf of them in at least a year now.
I bookmarked that yesterday! I’m so excited to try it!
Why isn’t that black bean and sweet potato taco in my mouth right now?
Do you have The Cooking Channel? Babycakes was featured on it Wednesday. They were part of an episode of Unique Eats.

The sweet potato and black bean tacos look amazing! So simple yet sounds delicious. Definitely going to give those a try!
That feta dip looks amazing!
I seriously wanted to make all of these when I saw them on their respective blogs! Especially the crazy feta!!
Those tacos look great, and I’ve been drooling over those Congo bars as well..
I love Angela’s vegan choc chip cookies. If I don’t have a batch at my house, then I’m thinking about them. I already had 3 tonight…don’t judge.
I made Jessica’s crazy feta a few weeks back and it was the best thing I ever ate. I halved the recipe but I downed it all in 2 days. Oops!
I NEED to make those congo bars! Hope you have a great weekend!
I love the look of those congo bars! Thanks for bringing them out, now I’ll have to make them too
