Same here!!! Darn teaching and grading and commenting! I’m spending the day finishing up work stuff, and then, like you, I MUST GO SHOPPING. I hate to buy just to buy. I always have visions of myself gathering items throughout the year, but alas, that never happens. And teaching most assuredly eliminates any shopping before Christmas week. Oy.

I haven’t either! My in my defense I have to take a plane home and there are malls there. Never mind that I get home three days before Christmas Eve. Here’s a tip I learned from my grandma: make a card with images of the thing you are GOING to buy. AKA… say you plan to buy someone new tennis shoes. Go through all the ads and cut out pics of shoes. It will distract the person from realizing you just didn’t get to shopping.

I just finished my shopping today. I’m impressed my husband actually started AND finished his today instead of Dec 23rd for once. Oh I’m so happy!

No worries! I went out for my first gifts of the season today (and got my tree too…whoops! This is the one time, when you snooze you GAIN. 30% off of my 6.5 ft tree. BOOM!). I got some great stocking stuffers for Mom at World Market. Fortunately, I’m taking all of next week off of work, so it’s a shopping bonanza/excursion/mission impossible from Tuesday-Friday. But I feel good. You should too! There is PLENTY of time (and some crazy good deals!). Godspeed, my friend!
