I’m so proud of my torn up hands. It’s the result of being a kipping pull-up machine.
I waited until Meeker got home from work yesterday to do the crossfit workout. We rarely work out together and I had forgotten that it’s 100 times more fun to workout with a friend.
Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of:
5 Pull-ups
10 Push-ups
15 Squats
…I got 13 rounds, someone go try it and beat me. Game on.
Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of:
5 Handstand Push-ups
10 One legged squats, alternating
15 Pull-ups
Baby Workout
Bounce up and down for 20 minutes. Be sure to laugh at your parents the whole time.

Can’t WAIT to workout in that gym. You’ve got to teach me about kipping pullups.
I can’t wait to have you in that gym!!
Whoa! Great workout! I agree….much more fun to work out with someone and it looks like baby girl had a blast, too!
Oh my gosh I just want to eat Babycakes up in that picture!!! I think she has the best workout of all…
You guys rock! I doubt I can beat you but I’ll let you know if I even come close! Happy weekend, friend!
Whoa, you are SO tough!! (I nominated you for a Versatile Blogger Award).
I prefer baby A’s workout. I’ll just bounce up and down and laugh at you guys.
I love babycake’s workout and that hat…..
I’ve been reading your blog for a while now, and I love that you are into Crossfit! I’ve been doing it pretty regularly to wind down from my fall marathon. I did this workout too: 18 rounds!
Winner!! Good for you! I am so impressed.
That is awesome.
And quite impressive! I think baby A needs a whistle.
Hah…getting her one immediately!
You rock!! love the baby workout, so cute!
This post is adorable! I actually really love working out with my husband. He’s a good motivator
I think I like Baby A’s workout the best! Love her cut workout clothes!
Love this! And totally agree with Ashley. Baby A needs a whistle!
At first, I was thinking…oh my, I could totally do this workout!
And then I read that you did it over and over and over 13 times.
Let’s just say that moment of exhilaration and feeling tough was very short lived.
You always inspire me!!
Haha, well thank you! And you could totally beat me – 20 minutes is a long time, you’d be surprised!
(p.s. I totally missed the post where you displayed your freshly cut hair and I just had to let you know how awesome it looks! Love it!
)
Holy awesome! You are seriously so badass.
Awesome workout…short and sweet! I am going to try it tomorrow!
dude. i am impressed. i can do a total of 2 pull-ups.
Okay, i’m tired just reading! I actually try to work out in a similar way too…great pictures of your workout! Just popping over to tell you there is an award for you on my site…wanted to let others see your great site
xx
Thank you!
I chose the baby workout. Too cute! =)
LOVE this workout! Will have to do it again soon and let you know how many I can get – I do love a good competition, Katie.
I love that you and Meeker did it together and that Baby A was around for the fun! My mom would say, “The family that works out together stays together.”
And I read the comments – is Lindsay visiting?! (must be for Blend?!)…I thought I could come and don’t think I can anymore!
Already feeling some F.O.M.O. – “fear of missing out.” I KNOW it’ll be an amazing time!
Haha, I love that!! And yes, Linsday will be here for BLEND…and so sad you can’t make it!!
Loving following your blog and watching how you’ve managed to do it all, even finding the time to exercise as a family!
hahahaah im with her
I just started Crossfit, and you’re my inspiration! I can’t wait to have hands as calloused as yours:)
I’m LOVING it so far. I want the six pack that my instructor promises. Tell me, does that mean I have to eat as many vegetables as you?
Sarah
You can do it!! And yes…my abs are from my diet – not my workout! (although Crossfit helps!)
[...] On Sunday I did this workout. [...]
I’m starting to feel like I should hire you to be my personal trainer.
Or maybe Baby A.. her workout seems like a good time.
haha this is adorable. you’re a crossfit machine!
Wow I’m impressed. How did you manage/learn to do pull ups? I bought a pull up bar a couple of weeks ago with 1 pull up as a goal but I can’t do a pull up for the life of me! I’m trying to improve by trying to lower myself slowly from the bar (=fail) and jumping (as little as I can) while pulling as much as I can to help me do the pull up, every other day, but I’m a bit discouraged.
How long did it take you? I’m working on my push ups at the same time, I don’t know if that helps…
I’d love some advice from you
I would refer to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7spRknkD1hU
It helps that I have a husband who is a personal trainer and could give me pointers, but just keep practicing…it took me years!!
Alright…I finally gave it a shot! Alllmost completed 19 rounds – got as far as the pull ups, push ups, and time stopped as I started my squats. I finished them all the same.
So, my total was 18 full rounds + pull ups and push ups from round 19. I really pushed! Loved that you set a high bar – it made me work harder, Katie! …would love to workout with you some time.
18 and 2/3…you rock!!! Now I’ve got to try it again and get as far as you.
Virtual working out together.
Ouch for your palm! Next time try gloves! It saves a life… or your hand at least!
if I had to chose which workout I’d like, it be Baby workout, then momma workout then papa workout in hat order!
ya’ll are awesome!
Thanks, Jasper!
Wow!I am so impressed!I cant even do 1 pullup…its one of my new years resolutions though:)
Good luck!! It took me years to really go after it and learn how.
The fact that Meeker can do multiple hand stand pushups is beyond me… and after reading your CrossFit blogs for a while now, I might have to check out this CrossFit thing after all! (I’m already regretting that decision)
Yes, do it!! I’ll help you (via technology) – maybe we can skype workout together.
Ah, Cindy! Love that WOD. 19 RX rounds. I LOVE that you Crossfit!!!!! Just came across your blog through Sweet Treats and More. Do you just Crossfit in your garage?
I found you from Sweet Treats and More and am super excited about your crossfitting family blog! I did Cindy this morning and got in 12 rounds plus a round of pullups and pushups. I’m not going to be able to sit down to pee tomorrow.. Burns so good!
