Our week quickly went from this…
To this…
Now it’s time to get creative. Meeker just ate the rest of the leftovers and the last three eggs in our refrigerator. All that plowing really made him hungry.
Maybe I’ll make some biscuits to live on until it stops snowing.
In the meantime…summer, you can come early if you want.
That baby vest is amazingly cute! I can’t believe how much snow is outside my window here in Denver! I’m so grateful that we live in a 4-plex building that gets shoveled for us, and that I got a snow day out of the deal yesterday.
Stay warm!
Oh goodness! I remember eating frozen veggies & canned beans as a little one in Massachusetts. I know you’ll come up with something crazy-good from the pantry!
And I thought I was cold here in Berkeley! Biscuits sound wonderful, though!
Hi. I wanted to ask you a question about baby led weaning. We are also doing it with our 6 month old but the doctors are concerned about getting enough iron. Did your doctor mention a supplement to you too? Just wondered what solution you had to the iron needs.
Yes, our doctor did mention it…I try to give her a lot of red meat (which my husband eats) and dark leafy green vegetables. But a supplement would be an easy fix, too. Good luck!
I am NOT jealous.
Wow!!! Stay warm!!
warm fires to cozy up with, family, those are so fun! good luck with the snow-in, little shut-in in Katie
I’m bringing over some Taco Soup and cornbread!
What the heck! Where is Chicago’s snow? I’d take it any day!!!
NO Chelsey!!!
Pleeeese …. do not wish for that white-stuff. We are doing absolutely fine here. In the old-days, I did love lotsa snow …. no more. Not when I have to clean it all up. Tired of it.
It sure is nice to see pictures of snow from other states! Ha. Sooo sorry Denver.
P.S. Chels …. love your blog!
I love getting snowed in–after my fridge is appropriately stocked. I have faith you will stay fed regardless.
It is sort of fun to be all tucked away inside with a very legitimate excuse not to do anything.
Can I amend your comment to “with a very legitimate excuse not to do anything BUT EAT?”
I guess “but bake” works too. Love you friend – stay warm out there! It’s allowed to snow as long as I’m still able to get to you on Thursday!!
I like that amendment. And it’s already sunny and beautiful outside, so you just head on out here!
Eeks!!! It is so stinkin’ hot right now! Yesterday we hit almost 80 degrees…I mean I don’t want snow or anything (you are such a trooper!!) but I would like some hint of winter.
I don’t blame you…as much as I complain, I’d probably miss it if it was hot year around.
Dude, tell me about it. Today, I had to do 18 miles ON THE TREADMILL due to the snow.
18 miles?! You are crazy, lady. Good work!
Wow! We had the shorts weather a few days ago too but luckily that snow didn’t follow! This winter is so weird!
You can chuck some of that snow down into Colorado Springs if you’d like. We didn’t get so much
I know! My parents live down there and were hoping for more, too. I hate it when they hype up a storm and nothing happens. Kind of a let down.
Please don’t send any snow to New England! We’ve been experiencing the sunshine in the first two photos here as well, but my Pepere is convinced we have 2 ft of snow coming our way. And he’s usually right. Ugh!
Oh my gosh, now that is a LOT of snow! I actually kind-of wish I had snow right now. Where I live it’s been ridiculously cold for weeks and we still haven’t gotten any snow.
That makes me shudder. I’m hoping we make it through an entire winter without a major snowstorm- fingers crossed! Let’s write a letter to summer
I agree – summer can come anytime now!
Love that adorable pic on the truck, btw.
