Today is brought to you by the color green.
Green like this little froggy hat.
Or, if you are the older gentleman in line behind us at the grocery store…this green hippo hat. That my little boy looks so handsome in.
Um, nice try, Guy. But I’m pretty sure this green thing on my head is supposed to be a frog.
I’m also pretty sure that my mom dresses me in this much pink so that people like you will realize that I’m not a boy.
Also, green like this salad. That I ate twice in the same day.
So much delicious green going on. No animal confusion. No gender confusion. Just good fresh green things.
- spinach
- lettuce
- steamed asparagus
- steamed carrots (not green, whoops)
- steamed edamame
- sliced green onions
- green bell pepper
- sprouts
- celery
- crunchy (brown) things
The dressing also wasn’t green but ohmyheck it was good.
- 2 T Sesame oil
- 2 T Bragg’s Liquid Aminos (or soy sauce)
- 1 T freshly grated ginger
- 1 t brown sugar
Then for dinner – green again. Eaten with green chopsticks and a mug of cashew carrot ginger soup.
Happy (hopefully green) March!

Nothing against little boys (although I will totally cop to wanting girl children), but baby A is so obviously a little lady! Maybe he thought *hippos* were a boy thing?
Funny, I always *thought* I wanted little boys…but my eyes have been opened. Bring on more adorable little girl babies.
I thought I only wanted to have boys, until Kandin came around. Now I can’t imagine a life without one of each!
I can’t begin to handle the cuteness in those pictures, drool and all.
okay how much do you LOVE sesame oil!? haha its definitely one of my favs. i’m in love with sesame oil almost as much as i’m in love with the frog hat…and thats a lot.
It changes everything…such flavor!!
adorable babies and green salads. Two of my favorite things in the world! I love you miss katie!
Ok I can *kindasorta* see the hippo thing (I guess) but BOY? Uh no. Why is it that people see all this pink and one speck of yellow, green or (gasp) blue & immediately “think this must be a boy”? Crazies.
I see a drop of baby drool on that chin – reminds me of Lyric these days now that she’s working on some teeth.
Oh man, the drool is nonstop. Her chin is chapped from the constant waterfall. Dang teeth.
That salad is too delicious to be eaten only ONCE in a day. Good choice.
And I’m pretty much in love with that little green hat!
I’m pretty much in love with it, too. I wonder if they make it in our size?
Too cute! Look at herrrr!! I was hoping to see the peanut ginger sauce, but I’ll settle for the sesame ginger.
I talked about you getting me addicted to those chews on yesterdays post! haha
I ate all the pb & ginger dressing last night…I’ll have to recreate it so I can take some pictures.
LOVE the little belly poking outta that striped shirt. Also, I’m starting to think she looks like you… I mean obvi she still looks like Meeker, but that color pic reminds me of you.
PS YUM on the salad. I’m a sucker for greens.
That belly kills me too, how is it so round?! I love it…and I also love that you think she look like me – I never hear that!
Ahahahaha – okay. I know she doesn’t have A TON of hair yet…but I feel like it’s pretty obvious that Adrienne is a girl!! I mean c’mon guy, get it together!
That little FROG hat on your little GIRL is so stinking adorable. I just want to kiss those little cheeks off (I know I say that every time…but they’re just that great).
And this salad looks awesome (as does that soup) – and guess what? It’s fast-friendly so I can eat it! YAAAAAAAAAAY!
Little A a boy? I know she may be lacking in the hair department but she is most definitely a little lady. Annnd you should probably have the award for the cutest baby. The end.
Well I obviously agree…thank you!
How could anyone think your adorable peanut is a boy!?!?!? I am obsessed with salads – this one looks delicious!
Yum. You can’t go wrong with anything ginger!
Truth.
squeal i love her
That dressing sounds fantastic! I could use a big green salad right about now. And a frog hat. But I doubt I’d look as cute in it.
i’m with janetha. i need to meet this little boy of yours.
Oh my goodness, could she get any cuter??? I love the hat!
lol, I think that guy needs some new glasses! dressing looks fab!
girls like froggies, too!
Adrienne has the cutest belly! hehe!
And seriously…she does not look like a boy!!
You are a genius with excellent taste in hats, salad dressing and soups.
Especially the soup.
I’ll have you know…that green is my favorite color. I want that hat
Can’t tell you how many times my little fuzzy hair girl would have all pink on or a dress and people would call her a boy. She is so stinking cute and the hat rocks. Love the salad and am going to make that right now.
It’s funny how people associate no hair with boys, right? Like I cut it that way or something. Enjoy the salad!
