A few weeks ago, Cascal sent me a sampler pack of their fermented soft drink to try. Per usual with reviews for this little old blog, they sat in my fridge for almost a month before I remembered that I had pledged to try them and give my opinion.

So we cracked them open yesterday and Meeker and I gave our taste buds a little party on the front porch.

They were very bubbly (refreshing), not too sweet (just sweetened with natural fruit juice), and that fermented business gives them a sort of grown-up taste.

Adrienne liked the shape of the can (easy for a one year old to hold…very pertinent detail for you all, I know). She got a little sip of the Bright Citrus from her daddy and it made her smile – I’m pretty sure that’s the first carbonation she’s ever had. She’s a fan.

In fact, we’re all fans. I liked the Ripe Rouge flavor best, and Meeker did some work on that Berry Cassis.

Cascal has offered to send one US reader a sampler pack of their products. To enter, please leave me a comment below telling me your favorite drink.

For additional entries, please follow Cascal on Facebook and/or Twitter and leave a separate comment telling me that you did so.

I’ll pick a random winner by Friday evening. (August 17th)

Good luck!
