Since I can’t find the time this week to make any recipes of my own, I thought I’d just go to Ashley’s house and eat her food and take pictures of that instead. All of which, was fantastic.
First we had a brussels sprout salad…which she somehow made into one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten. We had some amazing little everything muffins alongside the salad, and then afterwards…doughnuts. Pumpkin doughnuts which she showed Adrienne how to make for me at home. (I can’t wait for her book to come out!! Ashley’s book. Not Adrienne’s book. Although, I’d be excited to see that too.)
Then I was sent home with food (more muffins and doughnuts) and gifts. Thank you for the lovely afternoon, Ashley!

sounds like a good plan to me. wish i was there to join you ladies and hug that precious girl of yours
I want to be there. Where’s my time machine?!
those muffins look so good! p.s. I love your hair’s length! Now I want to cut my hair!
Thank you! I haven’t cut it in a year…I miss my long hair so much!
Ohhhh did this ever make my day to see!! Thanks for sharing our fun afternoon. I can still hear Adrienne’s little voice in my head. Wait, is that weird? “Stuh” (stir) and “No eat that chicken Punky!”
I am lucky to have you two lovely ladies in my life! Happy (early) birthday. xo — p.s. I am still laughing that you wanted to sweep my kitchen floor!!!
I would have! We left you with such a mess!
(Also, I had a doughnut AND a muffin for breakfast. I am saving my popped amaranth jar for birthday morning!)
Aww, yay!!
I had both today as well, hehe. — Embrace the mess, right?? I learned that from someone smart!
I have a feeling little A is going to be a pro in the kitchen someday just like her mama!
And I just love that photo of the two of you!
Aw so much fun!!! You’re one lucky lady to get to eat Ashley’s food!!
I bet y’all had such a good time – I miss you ladies!
this is so funnnnn

I’ve been excited to see her book as well! What a fun day!
Everything looks so good! Like I needed another food blog to read…
Merry Christmas, Katie and family!!! <3
How sweet! I can’t wait for her cookbook to come out either. Although, I have to say – I’d enjoy it more if she just made me some!
So jealous you got to be one of the doughnut taste testers
Lovely pictures!
Well, if that isn’t just an afternoon filled with my favorite friends and my favorite food, I don’t know what is. I owe you an email. It’s coming…
I can’t think of 3 sweeter ladies!! How fun!!
oh that last picture makes me smile! looks like fun, and those donuts sound yummy!
First of all, I am so digging Ashley’s kitchen window and tiles. I’m feeling a little jealous… 2nd, your daughter is just the cutest little thing ever and that shot of her sort of peeking out over the muffins is just adorable. 3rd, your hair looks awesome! You look absolutely stunning in that photo! And 4th, as good as the salad looks, I find myself really wanting to stuff my face with those doughnuts…
i’m SO jealous you two get to hang out.
That salad looks amazing. Hope you had fun!
