Until this weekend, I hadn’t eaten any dessert in 2013. It wasn’t a resolution or a goal to go a specific amount of time without sweets, I just felt like my body needed a break after the gluttony of Christmas/my birthday season.
But this weekend I decided enough was enough, and I threw together the easiest, most indulgent thing I could piece together with the ingredients I had in the kitchen. STEP ONE. Brown butter. STEP TWO. Add pears. STEP THREE. Top with vanilla ice cream. STEP FOUR: Stand in your kitchen with a spoon and eat those puppies right out of the pan.

In.
Love.
Mmm…hmm….
Love anything with browned butter. YUM.
YES. I love this!!!
oh my gosh – we’re twins. I just broke my “no dessert streak” with underbaked brownies! mmmm…
You gotta break a streak like that with something GOOD.
This. Sounds. Amazing! And the hubby and I both love pears (and vanilla icecream), so this will be a hit in my house!!!
Awesome! Fun photos, too!
Mmm…comfort food to the max! This sounds perfect for a chilly winter afternoon.
Yum! Oh and where did you get that beautiful pan you ate from?
Meeker bought them for me a few years ago for my birthday…he got them online, but doesn’t remember the place. They are calphalon copper pots. I love them!
Oh heaven help me. And then feed me. And then pet me to sleep.
Yum! Yum! Yum!
love it.
You forgot Step 5: Repeat every day…forever. Or at least until pears are out of season
