Adrienne and I just got back from a very fun three day wedding weekend. One of my very, very, very best friends (whom I’ve known since kindergarten) got married this weekend in my home town. Unfortunately, Meeker couldn’t join us because our major interstate was shut down three days in a row. I cried.
But my daddy and a lot of friends stepped in to help me with Adrienne (during the long wedding ceremony where I was a bridesmaid) and she was a TROOPER. She sat hours in the car while traveling, sat happily through a two hour rehearsal dinner outside in the pouring rain, got six hours of sleep before the wedding day, skipped her nap (minus those five minutes up there in the car) stood still for a million photos, performed her flower girl duties brilliantly, and then danced her little heart out until ten o’clock at the reception. She is the best girl.
And since I had my hands full all weekend, I only took four pictures (and actually, my dad took one of them – the one of my back). But all the craziness and traveling aside, we had such a good time. There is nothing like celebrating the love and happiness of such a good friend. We returned home with happy hearts and so much thankfulness for the people in our lives.
