Does candy corn make your teeth hurt?
It makes mine ache. A lot of sugary things do, actually. And no, I don’t have cavities, thank the good Lord. I just went to the dentist (with both my kids in tow…it was super…uh, stressful and rowdy and I relied on my three year old to take take care of my eight month old and the receptionist had to pitch in and read to them and rock Jesse in his carseat.)
Anyway, I love candy corn. It reminds me of my mama. But I can eat approximately two pieces before my teeth want to jump out of my mouth.
So I mixed it in here! Just a little will do ya.
(also, we used these pumpkins and marshmallows and candy corns for practicing patterns before we made this recipe! candy is a magical motivator.)
halloween white chocolate popcorn
- 5 C popped corn
- 2 C white chocolate chips or candy melts (I love this chocolate for melting!)
- 1 C halloween candy (a mix of pumpkins and candy corn for us)
- 3 C mini marshmallows
- 1/2 t salt
Place the popcorn, candy, and marshmallows in a large bowl.
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in thirty second increments in the microwave. Then pour the white chocolate over the popcorn mix.
Spread the mixture on a nonstick mat (or wax paper), sprinkle with salt, and let cool and harden. Break into pieces and enjoy!
