This is the easiest pizza dough recipe you’ll ever find. Plus, it tastes good and it’s vegan. Win, win, win.
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup lukewarm water
1 tablespoon yeast
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted vegan margarine (both work fine)
Directions:
Preheat oven 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix the yeast with the lukewarm water until the yeast is dissolved. Let it stand for a couple minutes. Add the salt and vegetable oil/melted margarine. Mix. Add the flour, and mix. Roll out the dough. Put it in the oven for 5 minutes. Take it out and rub margarine over it. Add toppings, and cook for 10-15 more minutes.

Would whole wheat flour work for this too?
absolutely! I’ve actually used whole wheat flout – it turned out great!
Your pizza crusts look so good from your pictures! How big of a pizza does this make?
I always make 2 salad-plate-sized pizzas from it – one for Meeker, one for me. But if you cooked it as one crust, it would probably be a “medium” sized pizza. good luck!

Is this more of a thin crust pizza, or is it somewhere inbetween?
It’s pretty thin and crispy…but it can vary a little bit based on how thinly you roll it out. Let me know if you try it!

I have a question about letting the dough rise– most recipes call for it to sit at least an hour if not more… why is is that in this recipe it’s only 5 min? Does Dry Active Yeast make a difference, that’s all I have in the cupboard? Just found your site and love it, thank you!
You know, I don’t know enough about yeast to know the answer to your question – all I know is that it is quick and easy and it’s my favorite crust! I’m pretty sure dry active yeast is the same thing…let me know how it turns out!
just made this for dinner tonight…super easy and tasted great!
