Rainy Day Hot Chocolate

  • 1 mug of milk ( I used 2%)
  • 1 1/2 tbs. cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tbs. sugar
  • palmful of chili powder
  • 5-6 chocolate chips
  • sprinkle of cinnamon
  • sprinkle of nutmeg
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 1/8 tsp. of vanilla extract

In a small saucepan, mix 2 tbs. of the milk with the cocoa powder, chili powder, and sugar. Whisk until combined. Then add the chocolate chips, and keep stirring until melted. Once everything is incorporated, add the rest of the milk, the cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Keep whisking mixture until curls of steam begin to rise. Then stir in the vanilla and transfer to your favorite mug.
